It doesn’t matter if you produce at a homestudio or a Pro one, the bottom line is that we’re talking about YOUR ohm studio, the place where your imagination just flows and your sonic creations see the daylight/moonlight for the first time. But how do you use the Ohm Force plugins? How do they help you to give your personal touch to your audio tracks? What Ohm tricks & threats have you already learnt and/or created, from the most known and used to the secret techniques you keep for the *right* moments? In this contest you’ll be able to share your ohm studio techniques with all the ohmfriends around the world. And maybe get a huge prize kit in reward (see full prize list below).
There is not an approach requirement : it could be the traditional ‘video tutorial’ format, a ‘hands on’ overview, or even just you (or you and your band, partners, friends) showing how do you use the Ohm Force plugins in your music, in real life (an example). The more real, useful and interesting, the better; so the more will be your chances to put your hands in one of those cool prize kits. We want to see you working on your ohm studio, show it for us !
Want a good reason to already start thinking on a scenery for your nice video? There is a instant-prize : all accepted submissions already win 1 Ohm Force plugin of choice, for free, no strings attached. So you see it’s not about winners and losers, it’s about having some fun with what we all love: make music !

You already know that the Ohm Force plug-ins are the best favor you could do to your music creation, but what are the other prizes? They have been kind offered by some great software and press editors:

Big winner
“Flynn Price’s Ohm studio”
Fourth submission comes from Seattle, WA, USA. It’s got live studio footage. It’s got screen-cap tutorial. It’s got intrigue! Flynn Price shows that you haven’t seen it all in your life: yes, it’s possible to have a studio set up 1 meter from a wash machine and two meters from a kitchen. And 50cm from his son’s cradle, where he’s probably amazed by the odd sounds achieved on thatSymptohm:Melohman. You might say that it’s all about loving music, and Flynn will surely agree.

2nd place
“Ohmicide:Melohman by Matt Walker”
Matthew Walker is the former Smashing Pumkins drummer and nowadays in tour with Morrissey. In this video he shows how the Ohmicide:Melohman is used in his personal drum sessions/jams.

3rd place
“Ohmicide Dynamics Processing/Destruction”
Third submission by Michael Hetrick (Canton, Ohio, USA) is once again about our distortion beast Ohmicide:Melohman, this time showing a creative way to use the plug-in: using each band’s noise gate parameters to apply different kinds of distortion to each portion of the frequency spectrum, what gives – in Michael’s studio an acoustic drum loop – new personalities to the audio and spicy rhythmic enhancements to what used to be a ‘not that uncommon loop’. In addition he plugs in an OhmBoyz delay and – wow – we could make an entire track only playing along with parameters and cleverly exploring the variations of this delayed-gated-distortion setup. Check out his music and then his Richard Flemming band’s ones…

4th place
“How i use my OHM-stuff”
This time our german ohmfriend Colin Stark (you’ll probably remember him from our first video cohmpetition, one year ago) waited almost until the last minute to send us his most recent production. Now he shows how he personally uses his OhmBoyz, which he often puts in a send bus to then add some ’space’ to each track, Ohmicide:Melohman to fatten up some drum hits and OhMyGod! to transform not-that-original loops into dynamic-and-organic sounds, thanks to all these LFO possibilities.

5th place
“A GreenWizzard’s Minimonsta Video Presentation”
Seventh and last cohmpetition submission comes from Portugal, from the cave of the GreenWizzard, who shares with the whole ohmworld how he prepares his Minimonsta:Melohman wizardry. In this ‘more like a tutorial’ video you’ll be able to see how he tweaks each parameter section of the synth, and specially finally understand – seeing how it actually works – that the Melohmanpreset morphing feature is indeed MUCH easier to use than one could imagine, and obviously one of the most powerful synth tool you’ll have in your sonic arsenal.

6th place
“Venomeza’s Tips n’ Tricks for the Funky Ohmforce n00bie”
Did you know that come from Guatemala the biggest ring modulation fans in the world? Miguel Zea aka Venomeza is indeed one of them. “Reeeaally basic stuff made with some Ohmforce plugins for the Cohmpetition contest. This tutorial proves that Ohmforce plugins can go as deep as you’re ready to. Plugins used: Quad Frohmage, Predatohm, OhmBoyz & Cohmpost all in FLS” says the video description, and what we were able to see is that with some Ohm Force plugins and some evil feelings inside your head it’s possible to transform cheesy sounds into nice (and useful!) pieces of sound. Ok, not that useful if we talk about the Cohmpost part at the end of the video, but it’s never too much listening to all that horny cats…

7th place
“Shellys and Ohm Force – Murderous Sounds”
Second submission comes from Melbourne, Australia: Nicholas Levey shows how he uses both Ohmicide:Melohmanand Predatohm distortion units – with some additional spices provided by OhMyGod! – to create “violently distorted textures suitable for ambient music and soundscapes”. Watch the video then pay a visit to his myspace profile.
