petition

We’ve just received a mail from a british Ohm Force user sharing some…. hmmm.. impressions about Nick Griffin’s recent european electoral victory. We’re sorry Aidan, but we’ll not be able answer your mail, as religion, soccer and politics are three subjects strictly forbidden here at the office, otherwise we’d need to install metal detectors in our front door. So no hard feelings between us, ok?

A lucky grime head…

dj-first-aid

Dj First Aid from Exeter (Devon, UK) aka Aidan Wallwork have been present at Analog to Digital Expo’s first edition a few weeks ago and it seems we’re talking about a lucky guy: he’s the big winner of the ALL-ALL Bundle withdrawed at the workshop where Ohm Force plugins have been demoed. Fist Aid is a freelance producer/engineer and have been working a lot with Sounds Gallery, but also compose his own music, well crafted pieces of evil-zen dubsted and grime, which will be certainly yet more evil now that he’ll have Ohmicide:Melohman and Predatohm in his arsenal…

Analog To Digial Music Expo, in UK’s South West

March 24, 2009

Analog to Digital Music Expo, UK

Last weekend UK’s South West have seen its first music expo – Analog To Digital Music Expo, that’s the name of this pioneering event – and Ohm Force was present, with Jef Stone, the expo organiser himself, demoing our plug-ins during his production workshop. Jef told us that the attendence was much bigger than what they could expect, what shows that there’s a lot of production potential in the region. At the end one lucky guy has won an ALL-ALL Bundle and is now able to practice at home the tricks learnt during the workshop – and Ohm Force was not alone supporting the british South West’s production scene: big names like Korg, Yamaha, Fender and Focusrite were there, but also cool web based companies such as Voxengo and Camel Audio, among others..

russ-russelWe’ve just received a nice mail from Russ Russel from the Parlour Studio team (UK): ” – Just wanted to say how much i’m diggin ohmicide – its like you’ve been listening in to the noizes i’ve been having in my head for years.  I’ve been using it extensively on the new Napalm Death album and it’ll be my default weapon of attack from now on.” In additional of Napalm Death, Russ have already produced albums for Dimmu Borgir, The Berzerker, The Wildhearts, among other top bands from the dark and shady metal world. After the “Smear Campaign” album in 2006, Napalm has been just touring and recording – next album will be released very soon, stay tuned…

Cause4Concern is back with a new album, now under Ohmicide:Melohman influence

Pandemic artwork

After a few years of inactivity, Cause4Concern is back again! Drum’n'Bass fans certainly know who we’re talking about, and good-music fans in general should take a minute to listen to their productions. This ohmfriend trio from UK used to be one of the perls of the seminal Moving Shadow label, before creating their own imprint, since 1999 helping define D’n'B boundaries. It’s been already some years since they started to use huge amounts of Ohm Force plug-ins when sharpening their sound, and we prefer to believe that there’s a mysterious relationship between their Ohm plug-ins use and their ever growing success. As they’re launching a new album, called Pandemic, with an even better polished production and even more creative beats and riffs, we’ll never know if we’re being presumptuous or not. :-)  C4C Releases on respected labels Tru Playaz, Renegade Hardware, Timeless Recordings and again at Moving Shadow were to follow, and left little doubt that this was one crew to keep an eye on. Promoters right across the planet couldn’t help but pay attention, and consequently there aren’t many places C4C haven’t performed.
Melohman in their last album production
When we listen to Pandemic (to be released in December 1st) we realize that there was evolution, but their theatrical/entertainment side remains intact. They still sequence on Cubase, and Ohmicide:Melohman have contributed to distort several tracks on most songs (they sent us a nice screenshot, thanks guys!). Their sonic landscapes will transport you far away (song preview here) and their Dream Killer video will scare you. Cool !
